Conference Description
Nurses practicing in Ambulatory Care Specialty have diverse roles, serve unique groups of patients, and require specific clinical and management skills. This conference is an educational forum for those who practice in a wide variety of settings, including large and small primary and specialty clinics, physician offices, home health, long-term care, public health, community health, occupational health, school health, college health, military health, case management, and other outpatient settings.
General and 5 sets of concurrent sessions allow registrants to design a conference that meets their needs. The goals are to strengthen nursing practice, promote innovation and create seamless systems for patients and communities. Teaching methods include lectures, discussions, case studies, poster sessions, and collegial interchange.
Day 1 Keynote Speaker | Dr. Michele Andrasik
Director for Fred Hutch Cancer Center
Dr. Michele Andrasik is a clinical health psychologist and Director of Social Behavioral Sciences and Community Engagement for the Fred Hutchinson-based HIV Vaccine Trials Network and the COVID-19 Prevention Network. With expertise in community engagement and historical trauma, she’s making an impact in clinical research. Her presentations inspire and inform audiences about the intersection of community engagement and clinical research. Objectives for Learning Outcomes
Learners will be able to:
- Appraise relevant clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice within their practice setting.

Director of Justice Equity Diversity & Inclusion at National Healthcare for the Homeless Council
Kevonya is a Registered Nurse and an Integrative Healing Facilitator. As a facilitator, my work focuses on engaging individuals within the classroom, community, and organizational setting to see racial healing as integral to public health and personal well-being. As an RN, she works at Neighborcare Health as a community health nurse providing RN led primary care within a permanent supportive housing setting in the Seattle area.

Conference Description
The conference aims to involve nurses in promoting innovation and developing seamless systems for patients and communities. It seeks to strengthen the practice of ambulatory nursing, which is carried out in a variety of settings, including large and small primary and specialty clinics, physician offices, home health, long-term care, public health, community health, occupational health, school health, case management, and other outpatient settings. The conference will feature distinguished local, regional, and national nursing experts who will share clinical and assessment updates, administrative leadership skills, and professional development.
There are general and five concurrent sessions to enable participants to tailor the conference to their needs. Teaching methods include lectures, discussions, case studies, poster sessions, and collegial interchange.
Objectives for Learning Outcomes
At the end of the conference, attendees will report an increase in knowledge in:
1. appraising the performance improvement initiatives varied populations utilize to apply to their clinical practice.
2. creating a culture of diversity, equality and inclusion to achieve health equity at varied levels of care for all in ambulatory care settings.
3. participating with legislation and leadership to lead the redesign of care delivery models in ambulatory care nursing.

Registered nurses, nurse leaders, clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and other interested healthcare professionals working in the ambulatory care setting.

Keynote Speaker | Brian Park, MD, MPH
Dr. Park is passionate about creating a more relational and inclusive health system for patients and communities by bringing diverse communities together to create systems and social change. He founded and oversees a community-organizing program in which patients, healthcare providers, and community partners come together to create solutions for local health equity issues. He also directs a leadership program in which healthcare students and professionals develop relational leadership skills to better partner with one another to create systems and social change.
Objectives for Learning Outcomes
At the end of the conference, attendees will self-report increased knowledge and intended change in practice in:
- applying leadership knowledge to innovate effectively to achieve long-term goals in the organization.
