Objectives for Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this module, participants will be better able to:

  1. Compare and contrast direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) to vitamin Kantagonists (VKA).
  2. Identify appropriate use of DOACs.
  3. Critically evaluate literature supporting the use of DOACs.
  4. Recognize significant drug interactions related to DOACs.
  5. Develop a therapeutic plan utilizing DOACs in the geriatric population.
