Michael Lippman, MD, FACP
Michael Lippman is a general internist with 30 years experience, including primary care, consultative internal medicine and hospital /critical care. For the last 20 years, he has worked in a cardiology specialty clinic. He has supervised an anticoagulation clinic and am currently the medical director for Multicare’s Pharmaceutical Resource Clinics, which provide anticoagulation management services.
Target Audience
Advanced practice nurse practitioners, especially adult, geriatric and family nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurses, pharmacists and other interested healthcare professionals.
Objectives for Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be better able to:
- Understand indications and contraindications for anticoagulation drug therapy.
- Understand anticoagulation drug dosing for patients with complex medical conditions.
- Know when to recommend modifying or stopping anticoagulation.
