Course Description

Do you feel ill-equipped to handle the realities of long-term patient cases? Eager to develop confidence in leading group sessions? Unsure how to fully support LGBTQ and adolescent behavioral health needs? Unclear what integrated behavioral care entails?

Over two comprehensive sessions, this series helps nurses tackle these topics and more.  You’ll learn from experts in the field and leave feeling equipped to better provide compassionate, evidence-based care.

What have past participants thought?

“I was impressed with the variety of speakers and experience and I think it was well-oriented and matched my own goals for improvement in my practice as a Public Health Nurse.”

The speakers you all selected were SO excellent. The topics that were discussed are so relevant to us more than ever. Money well spent! I have enjoyed this session.”

Target Audience

Registered nurses, graduate nurses, advanced practice nurses, and other healthcare professionals working in the ambulatory and inpatient settings.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, participants will have increased knowledge and skills to:

  1. Implement at least two exemplars of patient education for vulnerable population groups into your educational programs in a clinical practice setting.
  2. Discuss innovations in complicated discharge practices across clinical practice settings.
  3. Confidently promote greater health equity in delivering behavioral health care.
