Brooke Gum, MN, ARNP, PMHNP-BCÂ
Brooke Gum started her career at Seattle Children’s Hospital on the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. After almost 3 years, she shifted to outpatient practice for the next 9 years. Brooke is currently working at Lutheran Community Services Northwest in Kennewick, WA, in the Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) program as their sole prescriber.
Target Audience
For pediatric nurse practitioners, family nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinical nurse specialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and other interested healthcare professionals.
Objectives for Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be better able to:
- Describe pre and post pandemic rates of diagnosed mental illness in youth.
- Identify diagnostic considerations for youth related to the pandemic.
- Describe barriers to accessing mental health care for youth in our state.
- Identify common medications to consider in treatment of mental illness in youth.
