Juanita Hodax, MD
Juanita Hodax is a pediatric endocrinologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Co-Director of the Seattle Children’s Gender Clinic. She completed her residency and fellowship in Providence RI, and has been passionate about gender care since early in her career. She is currently engaged in clinical care in Seattle as well as Missoula, Montana, and also dedicates her time to research and education.
Target Audience
For pediatric nurse practitioners, family nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinical nurse specialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and other interested healthcare professionals.
Objectives for Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be better able to:
- Identify medical options for gender-affirming care.
- Recognize appropriate timing and use of puberty blockers.
- Describe the benefits and risks of gender-affirming hormones .
