Pediatric Drug Therapy: High Risk Behavior in Teens

DO ANY MEDICATIONS STOP IT?

This module will focus on current and off label medications used in high risk behavior in teens. This module will also demonstrate how to take a social history using a strength-based approach, while screening for behaviors and risk factors for potential morbidity and mortality (HEADSSS model).

OBJECTIVES FOR LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be better able to:

  1. Identify current medication trials in high risk behavior.
  2. Become familiar with off label medications in high risk behavior.
  3. Understand that high risk behavior treatment will benefit from cognitive behavior therapy.
