This module will review changes in 2017 guidelines and how it will effect the management of children with high blood pressure.
OBJECTIVES FOR LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be better able to:
- Review relevant information from the Fourth Report on the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of high blood pressure in children and adolescents.
- Discuss the changes in the new guidelines published in 2017.
- Determine how the new guidelines will affect management of children with high blood pressure and discuss pharmacologic options.
